Surojeet (Suro) Ghatak, CFA is the Director of Investment Management for The Noble Group. He oversees the investments for The Noble Group’s assets under management and also supports the investment needs of its retirement plan clients.

With over three decades of experience in the investment management field, and a career spanning numerous economic and market cycles, Suro brings a wealth of knowledge that he uses to help individual clients and businesses pursue their financial goals.

He started his investment career at Fidelity Investments and worked in a variety of roles: Quantitative Analyst, Equity Research, Capital Markets Strategist, Key Account Management and Consultant Relations. Prior to joining The Noble Group as a Financial Advisor, Suro worked in a similar capacity at Cambridge Investment Research.

A graduate of Boston University, with a Master of Business Administration degree, Suro also holds Master of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering degrees from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society Houston. Additionally, he holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation to help in his work with 401K plans.

Suro took a sabbatical from the investment business between 2019 and 2022 to pursue a childhood dream of becoming an Airline Pilot. He flew Embraer 175 airliners for a United Express carrier before returning full time to his financial advisory practice. While an airline pilot, he was Chair of the Retirement & Insurance Committee at the local chapter of Airline Pilots Association (ALPA).

Suro is a volunteer at the Wine Events and the Wine Garden Committees of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. He flies with the USAF Auxiliary [Civil Air Patrol] as a Mission Pilot & Instructor. Suro enjoys playing tennis and is working on his golf and scuba diving skills. A former resident of Houston Heights, he currently lives in the West Memorial area of Houston after buying a house and officially planting his roots in Houston. Although now officially an Astros & Texans fan, he still reminisces about the Red Sox & New England Patriots.
