Scott Staerker
T. Scott Staerker Financial Advisor, RJFS

Scott works closely with moderate to high-earning individuals who have fast-tracked their retirement funding in hopes of potentially retiring early. His goal for his clients is for them to have confidence in knowing that they are financially prepared for the future.

Knowing that every individual’s situation is different, Scott tailors the wealth management and the specialized modeling and investment strategies he uses to meet each client’s unique objectives.

“I’m a tactical money manager. Although I maintain proper asset allocation across accounts as a baseline means of risk management, most of my clients also have a tactical sleeve in their investment portfolios. These tactical sleeves dynamically adjust market exposure to equities and market risk according to changing market conditions,” Scott said. “In this way, I believe my clients have the potential to achieve a greater degree of capital preservation in bear markets without sacrificing growth opportunities in bull markets.”

After a distinguished career in the oil and gas business, Scott embarked on his second career as a financial planner by joining our team in 2017. He holds Series 7, 66 and general lines insurance licenses. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree from Florida State University.

Scott is originally from Fort Myers, Florida, and today lives in Katy, Texas, with his wife, Catherine, and their children, Sarah and Andrew. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and saltwater fishing.
